2010 Results 

The thirteenth Inanda Bass Classic held on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25^th of April is over. With 230 anglers and 117 boats attended this event. Good weather was had with strong winds the 117 boats came under starters’ orders with anglers eagerly anticipating a good day of fishing and hunting for the trophy bass that could put them in the running for the top cash prize of R40, 000, the remaining prizes with a value of R160, 000 were keenly contested for. Fishing on the first day with good weather brought in many good sized bass, but the winning bass was still to come!  Fish caught were in good condition and were released alive back into the water by our weigh master Kobas Cronje with very few fatalities, the release tank with aerators and chemically treated water helped to revive those bass that needed it.

 The second day brought in the winning bass of 4.436 kg caught by Mac Fonnereau whilst the rest of the anglers were putting in a final effort to catch the big one, which seemed to be eluding everyone. The winning fish weight was kept a secret by the organisers; this kept everyone guessing until the prize giving.  This took place in the large marquee whilst anglers quenched their thirst; the final results were finally announced. And a excited and proud Mac Fonnereau was the final winner of the main cash prize of R40, 000.  Our tired and mostly happy competitors started making their way home. To all the successful anglers in the tournament well done and congratulations.  To everyone who attended and made this event so enjoyable to the many sponsors for their support and generosity at this popular event, to the hard working committee, and many helpers who helped put this event together to our main sponsors Berkley and our many other sponsors an appreciative and grateful thank you from all of us at the Berkley Inanda Bass Classic.
